Fresh hair to bring in the end of my first year as a non drinker. To say that it was easy would be untrue, but, I will say this: when you commit to do something for you and your future self, and you are unwavering in that commitment, you push thru the discomfort—knowing that you will ultimately be grateful. And grateful I am. To my own strength, to my weaknesses, and to my future highest good. I am on a path to be the best person I can be, and drinking alcohol does not support that vision. Not drinking alcohol this last year has helped me accomplish a handful of goals. Like starting and graduating from @nutritionschool and becoming a health coach. Having the space to be an imperfect person on a healing journey. To be more present in a beautiful relationship and get to be a partner to someone I love. To be a better mom to Lady. To step into the power of a more stable life by serving clients behind the chair in the salon. To have the strength to start over, yet again, in a new city— because life is not meant to be lived in one place. And remembering that sometimes, we need to go back to move forward. Cheers to the future, and cheers to me. For showing up every fucking day and choosing to love myself.
