You guys know, I don’t take the word dupe lightly. I find that half the “dupes” I see on the internet aren’t actually because there are so many factors that go into it. But, oh boy, this...this is a DUPE. I have been obsessed with Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter ever since it came out. Yes, way before its viral resurgence on TikTok/IG. What made it unique was it was more than a liquid highlighter - it came in a 1oz bottle in an array of shades and undertones. People were confused on how it *wasn’t* a foundation or skin tint (because it really isn’t). The packaging and experience was luxurious - one swipe on the skin and you got a glow without any sparkles/glitter particles that ruled 2016 makeup. Well, @elfcosmetics did that and more, even down to their glass bottle packaging. The feel and look on the skin is identical - not a glitter particle in sight. I think Elf also paid attention to consumers wanting Flawless Filter to be a skin tint product, because this has a slightly (very slightly) thicker feel that adds a bit of coverage. As you can tell in the comparison, the Elf side slightly blurs and evens out my skin tone. My only gripe is the shades aren’t as robust as Charlotte’s. They do tend to lean on the dark side and not as many undertone offerings, but it does sheer out that it doesn’t really matter on the skin. Also for all you gigantic doe-foot lovers - you get that here! I don’t like to talk price, as I’m someone who loves luxury beauty and that is subjective to the individual. But $14 vs $45 for a virtually similar product, AND the packaging is luxe...this is a winner for me. Have you tried it? Are you going to pick it up? Let me know your thoughts below!
