I feel so grateful that I was able to be home in Seattle the past few days to celebrate the life of a dear friend of mine who passed in December. Miles was quite literally the only drummer I wanted to play with throughout high school. No one swung harder than him. I played my first trio gig & first radio show with him, college audition tapes, Seattle shows at Tulas and Egans when we were all home for the holidays in college, the list goes on and on. I’m forever grateful to have been able to share so many important moments in music with Miles. He shaped the musician I am today and he will always have a special place in my heart. Love you, Miles!
