‘BREAKFAST’ a short musical film for @dovecameron is out now! Like many of us, when I heard the news of Roe V. Wade being overturned, my heart fell into my stomach. “Breakfast” was the perfect song at this time to make a statement about the recent overturning of Roe v. Wade. Dove's vision on this video was so clear - she was determined to use her platform to fight for the right to choose and ultimately take a stand for human rights. Every aspect of this project was truly the definition of collaboration, and I am so thankful to Dove for bringing me on this inspiring, emotional and ultimately cathartic journey with her. Reimagining these scenes from the past with gender roles reversed, allowed us to use a critical lens to show how absurd our present world is. I want to give special thanks to my co-writer @mkmalonez for her enthusiasm and creativity. Working in tandem on writing this script allowed us to really express the frustrations that we have felt as people with uteruses. and to my incredible crew — thank you for the unmatched dedication and skill. nothing with out you all!
