✨We crave simplicity in our homes when our lives feel overwhelming✨ I had 4 separate conversations about this over the weekend - on the sidelines of a soccer game, in the pickup line, at the park, on a call with a client... When I tell people what I do for a living, I usually hear how much others crave peace, simplicity and calm in their environments. It makes me remember why I love what I do. Our entry gives me that feeling. Right when I walk in the door. On the other wall I hung a simple wood peg rail for my purse, hat and coat. What about all the backpacks, sports gear, ALL the kid’s stuff? It’s a lot. And it comes in after school fast and furious. I intentionally set aside 2 large kitchen drawers for their items... So that I give myself the gift of a calm entrance and exit out of my home. Because yep, life can feel reeaaally nutty and yep, organized systems are a huge form of self care. Soon I’ll share my daily system and process for unpacking and organizing all my kids papers, art, etc each day. I love my system. Oh - and swipe for the before. It’s the opposite angle, but gives you a good sense of what it looked like. 🤍 PC: @kraaensweet for @breathing.room.home Styling: @kendrasmoot Mirror: @elsie_green Accessories: @shopwestparkhome
