Are you looking for a comfort dinner to make this autumn? 🍂 🥘 @haughser 's Lancashire hotpot is the perfect dish and really easy to make.See below for the full recipe details👇 What you need: 400g diced lamb 3 medium onions, chopped 25g plain flour 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce 900g potato, peeled and sliced 2 bay leaves Thyme (fresh or dried) Salt and pepper to season For the veggie version, you just substitute the lamb for veggie/vegan mince and stock. How to make it: Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, start by roughly chopping up 3 brown onions, into cubes. Use the side of a knife to crush your garlic, Anna used 10 cloves but use as many or as little as you’d like. Then slice the garlic roughly. Heat oil in a casserole dish on the hob, season your diced lamb with salt and fry just until browned. Once browned, use a ladle to scoop the lamb out of the pan, put it aside in a separate bowl. Using the same pan, and without washing it, add your garlic and fry until fragrant. Season with salt then add your onions and fry until brown. Add 2 bay leaves and thyme, then add 500ml water. The water will instantly boil and release all the flavour off the pan. Add the Worcester sauce. Bring to boil and add the lamb back to the pan. In a small bowl, slowly add water to the flour until runny with no lumps, then pour into the pan. Whilst your pan is bubbling away, cut 6 peeled potatoes into thin slices. Turn off the hob, season slices with salt and arrange on top of the pan. Place a lid on the pan and pop in the oven for 1 hour 30 minutes. For the last 5-10 minutes take the lid off and cook under the grill to crisp up the potato lid and you're ready to serve.#BBCMorningLive #foodrecipe #lancashirehotpot
