I keep going to write this post and have such a hard time finding the words. So here goes... In many ways last night feels like it was all a dream. It was almost too perfect. The location, the meal, the sky, the music, the people. Coming together to celebrate 10 Years as a company. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. I’m so damn grateful and a bit in awe for where we are as a company and as a team. For the first time in a couple years I shared with my team some of my big picture vision and longer term goals for the company. 2020 had us and everyone in survival mode, 2021 felt very much like a major reset and reorganization year even though we did grow quite a big internally, and 2022 feels like we can finally go back to talking about growth and the future in a way I’ve been hesitant to do. We can look a bit farther out than the month and quarter or 6 months ahead of us. It was exciting to share and even more so to feel their excitement. I told them I knew all of it was possible because them sitting there together on this trip, all 20 of them, was at one point a big picture, pie in the sky goal. A “wouldn’t that be amazing if one day we had a large enough team” scenario that a younger version of myself only imagined. And we did it. Proof that those big dreams can come true. I know how special and talented and hard-working these women are - I get to work with them every day. But seeing them together in one place, this group of individuals from all over, with different life experiences and families and interests; together they make up a team, our team, and seeing how all their brilliance magnifies when brought together - it was so damn special. These ten years have been such an incredible journey, for the company and me personally. Heck I was 26 when this all started. 🤯 It hasn’t been without growing pains. I’m so grateful for all of these women. I love what we get to do so much. I’m so grateful for our readers who believe what we’re all about.
