From minimising resource use, running entirely on renewable energy, and eliminating single-use plastics to serving over 90% organic food and delivering industry-leading waste separation, Øya consistently transforms its values into measurable impact. Their 2025 theme, See you at Øya, emphasises the importance of mental health, inclusion and diversity, which remain central to both their organisational culture and programming. This year also marked major progress in data collection, including scope 3 visitor mobility, food and beverage footprinting, and detailed submetering of water and electricity - all vital insights that will drive further action toward their long-term ambitions.
