It’s been a big year for ICP, and we could not do it without the support of our community! From a museum-wide retrospective to events and programs in our new home at 79 Essex Street on the LES, the year was full of highlights—here are just a few things we're celebrating as we say farewell to 2022:⁠ ⁠ ⭐ William Klein: YES—a major retrospective honoring the life and legacy of William Klein (curated by @DavidCampany), the first US exhibition dedicated to Klein in over a generation.⁠ ⁠ ⭐ ICP Photobook Fest—the inaugural Fest brought together leading publishers and photographers for an unforgettable weekend in ICP's space in May...and we can't wait for Photobook Fest 2023!⁠ ⁠ ⭐ REWIND with Hip Hop Photography Collective—part of our Late Night ICP programs on Thursday evenings, this night of conversation on hip hop in visual culture + DJ sets was one to remember.⁠ ⁠ ⭐ One-Year Certificate Programs Student Exhibition—the first in our LES space, showcasing the incredible work of our program graduates.⁠ ⁠ ⭐ #ICPShareTheStreet—over 10,000 of you shared your street photography during this initiative!⁠ ⁠ ⭐ ICP Alums—@DayanitaSingh won the @HasselbladFoundation award; @Rashaa_jv won the inaugural Tom Stoddart Award for Excellence from @ianparryscholar—just two highlights from the year 👏⁠ ⁠ ⭐ ICP Infinity Awards 2022—@SebastiaoSalgadoOficial (seen here with @AnnieLiebovitz at the awards) was honored alongside other leaders in the industry⁠ ⁠ ⭐ ICP Exhibitions Travel—Gillian Laub: Family Matters traveled to @jewseum and Southern Rites to @atlantacontemporary⁠ ⁠ ⭐ ICP Spotlights—we were delighted to honor Zanele Muholi this year, as they discussed their work with @ThelmaGolden of the Studio Museum.⁠ ⁠ ⭐ Photoville 2022—ICP returned to @Photoville with an exhibition from young imagemakers of ICP at THE POINT @thepointcdc 🙌⁠ ⁠ We can't wait for what's next—follow the link in bio to see our upcoming events!⁠ ⁠ Images: by Scott Rudd Events; Photobook Fest; by Janette Beckman; by Vic Walcott (@vwalcottphoto); #ICPShareThe Street; by Rasha Al Jundi; by Scott Rudd Events; Family Matters at ICP; by Scott Rudd Events; Photoville 2022.
