ROAST DINNER SERIES EP1: Yorkshire puddings Yorkshire puddings should be easy but a number of different factors can cause them to fail. Here’s my recipe plus a few tips for perfect yorkshire puddings every time. As a household of 2 I make this small mixture for a total of 6 small puddings, but you can easily double or treble it for your family. You’ll need: Sunflower oil 35g plain flour 1 egg 50ml milk (I use oat but any will do) Salt & pepper My tips for the perfect puddings: - You must have your oven up to temperature and the oil must be at temperature before you add the batter. - Be well prepared to pour the mixture and get them back in the oven fast. Any delay and the oil will cool too much. - DO NOT open the oven door once you put them in, no matter how tempting. Do not touch the temperature dial either, any fluctuations in temperature could cause them to sink. - As for timings in your roast, I recommend putting them in just after taking your meat/potatoes out. This means you won’t need to open the door for anything else, and they can cook whilst you rest/slice your meat and serve up the other components. I really hope you found this helpful, stay tuned for the next video in my roast dinner series! . . #recipereel #recipereels #yorkshirepuddings #roastdinner #cookwithme #britishcooking #eteneteneten #eten #easyrecipes #easyrecipe #roastdinners #easyrecipesathome
