a baby was screaming behind the wall but i could barely hear him. not because the insulation was thick ~ it wasn’t ~ but because i was on a mission. & if accomplishing it hinged on passing thru an encroaching film of noise of all sorts ~ which it did ~ then what was a wail to me? tho i must say it disturbed me more than the rest
