SXSW! Plus St. Patrick’s Day! Very excited to be out in Austin speaking this year. After the monstrous gig at @websummit, it’s pretty daunting hitting the scale of the @sxsw stage — but super excited to chat about cultures of innovation with my uber-talented sis @natashacheti. We both have long-asserted that innovation and creativity — the acts of focus, care & problem solving — are universal to humans; that we need them as part of our lives and output — and that they’re crucial to every type of business. Especially so in the difficulty of the modern landscape, so we’ll be talking about teams, talent, imposter syndrome and how to create a platform for maximum positive impact. And I’ll be excited to showcase examples from the last ten years of Lyan, including our amazing collabs — from @british_airways to Cub to @fierfieldwhiskey. Especially fitting as Natasha and I worked together on these, but particularly Fierfield and today is St Patrick’s day! It’s a day I was heavily involved in over the years in hospitality, but I never imagine I’d co-found an Irish Whiskey product with a dear friend (and Ireland’s first female whiskey bonder🤘!) — and one that really delves into and celebrates the history of the Irish landscape. We’ll be giving out samples after the talk — come see us at 10am tomorrow! — but I’ll be raising a Fierfield Birch highball, and a dram of JJ Corry to y’all tonight too! 🤘☘️🥃🦁❤️🥂
