I landed in Vienna at 8 o’clock this morning and headed straight for the Kunsthistorisches Museum, one of the five greatest art museums in the world. For reasons having to do with my current meteorological research, I went straight for the hallowed institution’s copious holdings of winter landscapes, Pieter Bruegel’s foremost among them.
