Isabella Plantation Trees 2022 Part 2 The Isabella Plantation is a 40 acre woodland garden set within a Victorian woodland plantation planted in the 1830's. First opened to the public in 1953, it is best known for its evergreen azaleas. Acer Rufinerve 'Winter Gold': A snakebark maple with medium-sized deciduous tree and glaucous young shoots and white-striped branches. It has striking yellow bark in winter. Leaves broadly oval, 3-lobed, yellow and red in autumn. Euonymus Phellomanus: A species of flowering plant in the family Celastraceae, native to China. It is one of several species within Euonymus called spindle or spindle tree. Edgeworthia Chrysantha: An open, deciduous shrub, with supple shoots and narrowly oval, dark green leaves. In late winter it makes small, fragrant yellow flowers held in nodding, domed clusters at the tips of the bare branches. Camellia Sasanqua: An upright, evergreen shrub, growing slowly to about 2.5 metres. Foliage is neat, pointed and dark green; flowers single, white with a tinge of pink and a prominent boss of golden stamens. Euonymus Bungeanus: Woody-stemmed, semi-evergreen to deciduous small tree. Inconspicuous, yellowish-green flowers with purple anthers bloom in small cymes in mid-spring. Euonymus Hamiltonianus: A tree-like, deciduous shrub to 6m tall and broad. Leaves are narrowly oval, with scalloped edges and sometimes narrowing to a long, sharp point. Acer 'White Tigress': A small tree, often multi-stemmed, with green and white striped bark. Foliage has orange and yellow tints in autumn. Acer Palmatum: A deciduous shrub or small tree. Often growing as an understory plant in shady woodlands. It may have multiple trunks joining close to the ground. Its canopy often takes on a dome-like form, especially when mature. Viburnum Sargentii: Upright deciduous shrub with 3-lobed, maple-like leaves deep bronze-purple when young, and purple in autumn. Lacecap flower-heads in late spring have deep red buds surrounded by white sterile florets. Camellia Japonica 'Cam Geisha Girl':
