Check out @crab_hot_lau located on Kingsway. They specialize in Northern Vietnamese cuisine and are known for their rice field hot pot. The ingredients are sourced directly from Vietnam so you know it's authentic. Here are some dishes I've tried: Papaya Salad – This salad is composed of a variety of fresh colours and crunchy textures. It is made with papaya, green salad and dried beef. Definitely a great appetizer to start with! DIY Salad Roll – This fun dish has a DIY component where you wrap the rice paper with fresh vegetables, pork belly, pork skin, and herbs. Thank you Cherry; the owner, for showing me how to wrap the roll. Crab Spring Roll & Vermicelli – The crab spring rolls are a signature @crab_hot_lau . It is stuffed with crab meat , ground pork, and shrimp. This dish also comes with vermicelli and a tasty dip. The spring roll was super crispy and it was loaded with crab meat. It is definately a MUST-TRY item! Rice Field Crab Hotpot – This signature crab hotpot is another MUST TRY item while dining at the restaurant. The hotpot contains fresh crab broth served with house made fish cakes, minced pork wrapped in piper leaf, brown flat rice noodles, and seasonal vegetables. It was so flavorful and comforting!
