First time I met @diptyque was in Melbourne almost 25 years ago. I was introduced to the brand by Dennis, the founder of Aesop. It was a hot summer day, Dennis was late for our lunch meeting at Georges (Little Collins Street). He greeted me then rushed to the beauty corner, came back enveloped in a beautiful scent. During the lunch, I only wanted to find out the name of the perfume. It was a fruity floral scent called 'L"ombré dans L'eau'. Dennis took me to diptyque counter where I bought my first bottle of 200ml 'L'ombre dans l'eau'. You may not know this, diptyque perfumes were in square bottles and the 200ml came without atomiser! I then visited 34 Blvd St Germaine and met Monsieur Lataoui in 2000. Mohamed gave me the distribution right then. I will always be grateful and have him and Dennis to thank for this very early olfactory journey. 34 has always a special place in my heart, It is a love story........
