The Coal Cabin by @RedCottageInc 〰️ a dreamy escape in the Catskills I didn’t even realize how special this trip would be until now. It was a mid-week getaway to the coziest cabin outside of Phoenicia. No plans other than hiking, making fires, cuddling up, and pancakes at Phoenicia Diner. Beau galavanted throughout the entire property like a king at his castle — and us humans fared quite well ourselves living in robes and slippers, playing hours of backgammon, and crying in reflection about how good life is. @ckatherton cooked dinner upon arrival while Beau and I settled in like the bears in Red Riding Hood, but testing out the most comfortable seats one by one. No cell service but perfect wifi meant we could opt in and out of the real world, though understandably so, we chose not to as much as possible. Dinner at much anticipated Silvia in Woodstock was great...though we did ask for our entrees to go once we heard of spottings of the northern lights. The Coal Cabin didn’t disappoint — while Beauzie stayed fireside, we wandered down the property to see a green, then pink and purple sky. It was an escape I’ll hold close to my heart forever.
