After so long of not speaking to the youth and spending time restructuring @awom (and just working on myself because sometimes grief creeps up on you years later. Grief of my dad, friends, and even breaks ups). Yesterday, I had the great honor of speaking to the young girls at Aventura Chabad on Unity without Uniformity. I expressed how even if sometimes you feel you want to look like someone, act like someone, or be like someone else it’s doesn’t always make you united, but our VALUES are what bring unity. Even uniforms at school don’t make you feel connected... but the kind of person you choose to be that’s the mirror effect you want to have with the people you surround yourself with. The girls loved that finding and just being who they truly are was liberating and that’s who you surround yourself with. We definitely celebrated that yesterday. Thank you to my amazing friend and therapist @jaeltoledok for having me. A great honor. Wow do I feel liberated being able to speak again. I know it’s what I’m meant for.
