Yesterday we celebrated Fishermen’s day here in Iceland. Honouring the sacrifices and contributions people at sea have made throughout the years. Few professions fascinate me more than sailors of any type. It definitely takes a special kind of human to do what they have been doing, ever since the first crazy person decided to put a piece of cloth on some wood and start sailing. Here’s a collection from a few stormy days with the fishermen of Westman Islands.
