Oh my, oh my, where does one find the words? Last night was an absolute dream come true, in the way that I will reflect on this moment in time and truly wonder, did this happen? To be surrounded by so much love, care, kindness, and thoughtfulness. To step up to the microphone in front of family, friends, and near strangers alike, and to be met with focused eyes and soft smiles, perfectly crafted in a place of true magick. This vision I have, standing underneath a swathe of plants before an audience of bright eyes, is one I will never forget (thank you @bobbihaas for capturing this!) Words are my music, but this time I don’t have a song for my joy, for no note could match its melody. So I suppose I will simply say thank you. Thank you to my mom for crafting all the food and decorations, my sister for bringing it all together and helping me market this event—to both of you for believing in me back when I was 16 writing tales of fiction in the late hours of the night. Thank you everyone at @practical.magic.apothecary for sharing your sacred space, serving the best margaritas, and making a handcrafted tea just for my NOT FOR SHOW. Thank you to @jerireeder for giving me the kindest introduction into my performance (it was tears the moment you unrolled the scroll). Thank you to every person that sat before me with such patience and grace. I felt like a little star coming home and filling my table with all the gifts and memorabilia from the night.
