A lot can happen in 1 year✨ I sat down to reflect on how far I have come this past year. Last year on this day, after being completely burned out after 2020, I started sharing on social media as an outlet. I had no idea what I was doing, no idea where it was headed, or how it would be perceived. I had a little over 1k followers at the time. I studied social media like it was the law, I stayed up late, I found mentors, I read books, and I put in hours upon hours of work every single day. I learned a whole lot and made some mistakes along the way. Fast forward a year later, I have grown a community of over 25k followers between Instagram and Tik Tok and I have consistently secured high 4 figure brand deals EVERY. SINGLE. MONTH. This wasn’t luck, this was WORK. In addition to my new business, my husband started his own law firm and we started a trucking business. Between my husband and I, we started 3 businesses this year. I did all of this while balancing a full-time career as a trial lawyer and working at home with an active 4 year old and 2 year old. On top of that, my husband was injured unexpectedly and couldn’t walk for three months and I soon became his caregiver. I juggled creating content, balancing work, caring for my kids, and caring for my husband. I would be telling a story if I said it was easy. Some days were extremely hard and I wanted to quit, but I kept showing up consistently. I don’t say this to brag. I say this to inspire someone. If I can do this, you can do it 10 times better. If you want something different for yourself in 2022, you have to move differently. You can’t do the same thing and expect different results. Get crystal clear on what you want and then go get it. Period. I hope this inspires someone to try something new in 2022. We have one life. Go get everything that is yours.
