🥀 Black Future Month ident for @mtv with @telfarglobal @ashtondsanders The concept was inspired by Romare Bearden a black collage artists who uses large hands to symbolize the magnitude of responsibility and work black people need to survive. The large hands picking the rose pedals from the flower symbolize the heighten level of pressure and scrutiny black artists have to endure. While the rose pedals being plucked symbolizes the fickle nature of American consumer who enjoys watching Black people play on the field, sing, dance et cetera yet when a black person stands up against inequality no their dangerous black man or an angry black women. America she loves me, she loves me not, she loves me et cetera... 🥀
