June 24 - my birthday.🦀 The first grid post of myself in 5 years. Maybe it felt ok, because my wonderful friend @foxhunter used his film camera. Or maybe this new chapter marks a change; where I’m more comfortable in sharing myself amongst the work I do. Maybe (probably) I'll delete later. There were several reasons I stopped posting myself - the need for validation and the toll it took on my mental health being the primary. This post feels like an overshare, but really social media is here to engage these discussions - which I have always shied away from. To anyone else on this journey, please be patient, look after yourself and know you are not alone. Today I feel great, I feel strong, confident and better than ever. It took a while to get here, so on this day I celebrate this growth and I celebrate me exactly as I am. Because I’m the best version I’ve ever been. Here's to another year 🎂. OV x
