13 years. This day every year is one that is not easy. The anticipation of it and when it gets here feels heavier and heavier. Today is a reminder of the worst day of my life. But it’s also a reminder of something I carry with me always. My mom. The best person I’ve ever met. Although I can’t say this is something that gets any easier. I can say I find more peace in being grateful to have had her in my life and to have had her as my teacher of everything I know. I love you mom. I miss you. i still need you. I would do anything for 5 minutes. For a hug. Or simply a second to see you say hi and see that you are ok. I try to honor you daily. Today especially. Thanks for all you did. To this very second. The lessons you taught are carrying me. Rest easy. Thank you.
