Photo by @DaisyGilardini A glorious end to the day in the Antarctic Peninsula as we approached the northern entrance of the Lemaire Channel at sunset. The channel is one of the most scenic locations in all of the peninsula. It stretches for 11 kilometers (seven miles) and is only 1.6 kilometers (one mile) wide at its narrowest point. The tallest peaks reach an altitude of 747 meters (2,451 feet) and include the Cape Renard Towers, a distinctive rock formation also known as Una Peaks.
