Food for healing is such an important Chinese tradition for women during the postpartum period. It’s the opposite of “bounce back” culture, and instead all about warm foods, rest, clearing your body, and regaining strength. I haven’t followed all the Chinese “zuo yue zi” traditions (definitely showered, definitely watched love island UK), but embracing more of these yummy foods has made the recovery this time vs. my first so much smoother ❤️
