This summer, with your support, #NoKidHungry has been able to help communities across the U.S.. One of these communities we have had the pleasure in helping is in Caroline County, MD. Caroline County is a close-knit community where people look after each other. Unfortunately, due to a lack of economic opportunity, many children are at risk of being hungry. “40% of county residents live below the poverty line and 56% of county students qualify for free meals at school. And when school is out for the summer, getting access to free meals can be even more difficult for families. However, with funding and equipment from No Kid Hungry, Caroline County Public Schools and the community are there to make sure all kids in the county have all the meals they need to thrive.
