Long awaited update! Tell ur immigrant parents you love them. Mental health isn’t talked about in the AAPI community. Please seek help from a professional for your well being if you also have difficulty speaking with your parents. Encourage your parents to speak candidly about their feelings/emotions !! Finally, set boundaries, it is not your responsibility to solve your parents mental health problems. You are not weak for walking away and prioritizing your own mental health. Support them, be there for them !! But It’s time to unshackle decades of mental health stigma in the #AAPI community and be open about our struggles as children of immigrants ☺️😮‍💨😮‍💨🥹🥹 #mentalhealth
