This one goes out to the humans that this day truly belongs to. The minorities and low-income workers that continue to be underserved by this country, who are DISPROPORTIONATELY exposed to more environmental toxins. Many of which are beyond their control. Environmental justice for all. ✊🏾✊🏿✊🏽
Today’s quick picks have been selected for their affordability and/or accessibility.
For those who have been part of the LLC community for a while, you know that detoxing is important but is NOT the first step.
For the new folks asking “Why?”It’s a two-step process, babe. We have to decrease our overall toxic exposures while increasing our body’s ability and capacity to eliminate them. This detox approach reigns supreme for lymphatic (overall) health.
I challenge you to pick 4 today based on YOUR climate, schedule/activities, physical abilities, etc. Do what you can.
👞 🏡: Leave the shoe’s accumulated pesticides, metals, particle matter, and chemicals at the door
🧽💨: Swap your air filter. When it runs more frequently, it needs to be changed out more frequently. HEPAs are great, skip the ozone generation and ionizers
👐🏼🪟: Reduce air pollution by opening 🪟 5-10 min. today. We seal our houses for energy efficiency which can make the air worse inside than outside
🧽🥦: Soak produce in the sink with some baking soda to remove excess dirt and pollutants
🍖🫙: Store today’s left overs in glass containers to avoid the plastics that can leach into food.
No glass container substitute: Throw away a few plastic storage pieces from your collection that are passed their prime or been used in the microwave!
😷🧹: Vacuum and wet dust to improve overall air quality
👎🕯: Skip the endocrine disrupting fragrances and perfumes
📱✈️ : Turn your phone on airplane mode tonight and skip the radio frequency radiation
Which 4 are you going with?
What are some other quick pick that didn’t make the list? I’ll 📌 ‘em for the community.
Xoxo,
Leah
