“[They] Teach us to; speak up for Yourself” • Completed in July 2022 for The 49507 Project by The Diatribe Located at 123 SE Hall St. in Grand Rapids, MI • In special tribute to the young folks that are pushing for change in historically marginalized communities. This mural represents another stage in the revolutionary sequence of pulling up our own chairs and demanding to be heard. In the course of this procession, with chair in tow, self seeding lilies fall to their rebirth. Carried with them the assuredness of growth and advancement, despite the circumstances we face.
