I recently had the opportunity to sit down with an incredible group of teachers, administrators, students, and community partners in San Luis Obispo to discuss California’s Farm-to-School Program, which is feeding and impacting over a quarter million students throughout California. It truly takes a village to make programs like Farm-to-School possible, and I am so excited to share with you the stories of change-makers in San Luis Obispo and beyond that are championing students’ access to nutrition education and fresh, whole foods. From farmers and chefs to educators and school kitchen staff, I am so grateful for the partnerships that are developing in communities across the state to connect students and their families to healthy eating habits so they can lead happier, healthier lives and be our future environmental stewards. 🌟
