It has always been a dream to explore our sartorial storytelling through film and take leaps to push our mission forward as fashion folklorists. Welcome to Camp Aama ⚓ Brought to life by @houseofaama and @equatorproductions and inspired by the House of Aama Salt Water Spring Summer 2022 collection. The film depicts an exclusive Black resort community where people are safe to experience joy with one other. The collection Salt Water is inspired by the seafaring legacy and Black resort communities that flourished in the US in the early 1900’s. “Salt Water” as a term is an ode to the Africans who crossed the Atlantic Ocean and survived the middle passage to the Americas.
