I wasn’t going to be the uncultured swine who got heckled at the Renaissance Faire. — “Hey, what are you doing this weekend?” “Nothing, why?” “Want to do something a little nerdy?” “....define nerdy.” “Want to go to a renaissance faire?” “Uh, like where they dress up?” “Yeah.” “I mean........ I can check it out.” *Has so much fun* — On this episode of “Uncommon Girl” infiltrates some of their “Common spaces” I go to a renaissance pleasure faire. Truth be told, I was judging myself for saying yes and questioning (a little) how weird the friends who invited me were. HOWEVER I was in awe of how kind, accepting and ONE all the people were AND at the level of commitment to the costumes! I couldn’t help but think “what are the attendees day jobs?” It didn’t matter but the idea that I was dancing with a senior accountant or eating next to a car salesman dressed up like Zelda or a Knight in Shining Armor just really made me smile. 10/10 would recommend... y’all always wanting someone to go dressed up to well, the Renaissance Faire gives you that reason. Im like, what should I try next?
