Hi everyone! As some of you might know, my wife Saskia works with teenagers at the Pointe-Saint-Charles YMCA in Montréal, where I've been volunteering as a running coach since April. Getting to know the incredible, resilient youth of Pointe-Saint-Charles has inspired me to use my love of adventure and the outdoors to raise the funds to sustain and develop the YMCA programs that are vital to their success. On August 20th, I will embark on a 650-kilometer, solo kayaking adventure starting in Burlington, Ontario and ending on the Lachine Canal in the Point. I hope to use this experience to raise much needed funds for the youth programs of the Pointe-Saint-Charles YMCA, while inspiring youth to have the courage to challenge themselves, and while motivating other athletes to use their platforms and personal projects to benefit their communities as well.
