Main landing gear/Body gear Steering actuators and how they function and a quick reference on the B777-200 of FIM (fault isolation manual) clearing a main gear steering fault. THIS IS FOR REFERENCE ONLY. IM NOT A AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANUAL 😅😂🤣 please remember that. But I’m happy we got the fault cleared, it did take a massive delay because we needed to troubleshoot this properly. A bit of a side story (if anyone is reading 😝). So this was a return to gate situation, so we had to work fast (LAX line maintenance baby 🤙). After troubleshooting through the MAT (maintenance access terminal) we found the fault, after that it was the simple procedure as you see in the video. Interesting part came when the video ended, I went upstairs and I saw passengers getting off, I was compelled to as them.. well turns out they would have missed a connecting flight.. I said (and seriously from the bottom of my heart) I’m apologize for this.. to my surprise they said it’s OK.. thank you for fixing it for the rest of the people on board. It was a comforting feeling but still I felt bad because I couldn’t do it fast enough to help my souls on board to their destination on time. But such is life and things take time to make it right.
