Sorry we have been quiet for so long again. I hoped to be able to come on here and post how amazing things were going but once again that is not the case. Abri did not receive the pain pump (after lots of research we feel that was the right choice based on her CSF leak etc) but we were instead discharged without any pain management and a note saying that Abri was able to return to school. 😞 There is A LOT to say about that whole experience but for now I’m going to focus on where we are right now. There were concerns about a possible lesion on Abri’s spine so we flew to MN and Abri was admitted to Mayo. We spent 2 weeks in the hospital there and had testing done to check her spine which thankfully came back clear. They also had several concerns due to abnormalities on her tests but everything came back ok. They were at a loss because even though she has A and B she doesn’t have the C D E which would lead to a diagnosis. She has lots of As and Bs without the C D and Es. Like I said before it is like her entire nervous system has gone haywire. It came down to doing exploratory surgery which based on her extensive medical history was not the best option or cutting the nerves causing her pain but again based on her medical history and her being so young this was not an option any of us were comfortable with yet.The Drs there were incredible and were completely heart broken that they couldn’t help her. So we are now in Michigan where my brother in law is a Dr & chiro with his own practice in the hopes that we can heal her body in a better way. We rented a house and will be here for the next 6 months hoping and praying we can heal her body and mind. She is struggling so much and is completely bed bound at this point. Her pain is at a 10 every waking moment and causes her to pass out. She is exhausted and sad. Dad has to stay in AZ for work so it is just me, Abri and little sis here, so exhausted and sad is my feeling also. We pray that God’s plan is to bring Abri back to health soon. We all miss her and she misses herself too. We love advice but just please be kind. I would go to the ends of the Earth to heal my girl and am doing the best I can to help her. 🙏🏻
