In our Fall-Winter ’22 ‘Tears of an Olive Branch’ collection we worked with several different Palestinian hand-embroidery (Tatreez) patterns from different origins and villages around occupied Palestine. Colored in an array of greens and browns we pay homage to nature by embroidering traditional Palestinian patterns originating from the same nature that surrounds us all. The patterns that can be found throughout the collection are the ‘Qarnabeet’ (Cauliflower) from Ramallah area, ‘Hamam’ (Pigeon) originating from all areas of Palestine and ‘Irq el-Inab’ (Grapes Branch) originating from the Hebron and Jaffa areas to name a few. Palestinian Tatreez embroidery is a centuries-old art form rooted in Palestine and the region, traditionally passed down from mother to daughter. It has become a symbol of Palestinian resistance and strength in the Middle East. Tatreez comprises thousands of patterns, each one carrying a distinct meaning and representing a specific place of origin. We are currently co-operating with over 50 artisans from different villages in the West Bank, Palestine, in Dheisheh refugee camp, Ramallah and Arroub refugee camp. Our new collection is available now at selected stores worldwide and on our web store. 🌎
