Last week, we had the honor of hosting the maiden National Tourism Summit with The Federal Ministry Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy and Lagos State Arts, Culture and Tourism. We convened leading voices across government and the private sector to address pressing challenges and emerging opportunities in Nigeria’s tourism sector.
We hosted over 250 guests at KOꓘO Beach transporting them safely across the water to our beach location. “The tourism sector has the potential to be a key revenue driver, capable of generating as much income as oil and gas,” said Mr. Richard Shittu, Chairman/CEO, Koko Beach Hotel & Resorts. “Nigerians are already seeking beach experiences. The opportunity is to provide more of those experiences here at home.”
We would like to extend a special thanks to @fmactce_nigeria and Honorable Minister Hannatu Musa Musawa @honhannatumusawa for their support and commitment to advancing tourism through stronger collaborations with private stakeholders, @lagosstategovt and Honorable Commissioner Toke Benson @bensontoke for their continued support. The Ferderal representatives of Honorable Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo @official_bto (Minister of the Interior), Honorable Minister Dr. Jumoke Oduwole MFR joduwole (Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment), Honorable Minister Festus Keyamo, SAN (@festuskeyamo70). Thank you to our host, panelists for their time and contribution. To the dignitaries, His Excellency Dr. Abubakar Saraki @bukolasaraki, Mr. Folorunsho Coker @foli, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku MD @faan and our many friends in the private sector thank you for honouring the event with your presence.
