"When the child learns the name of the bird, she stops truly experiencing the bird" Why I structure the tea course this way - Yin first and Yang after? If you noticed, the previous intake was both simultaneously - 6 weeks of Yin and Yang together side by side. Sessions twice a week, and learning the receptive heart based way alongside the mind based way. It was intense, having two sessions a week, and my feeling was - there was not enough time for integration, for everything to settle in slowly, gracefully and gradually. To have time to really slow down, to create space, to listen. Although I have to admit it was an incredible 6 week journey for all of us. So this intake now is structured differently. We journey together for 6 weeks with Yin - the Feminine receptive way, and only 2 or 3 months later we start the Yang - all the practical, mind based information. Why this way? Because as soon as we start to learn the concepts, the names, the facts about the Tea - we stop truly experiencing Tea. Our head is filled with ideas, concepts, rules, how this should be or that needs to be done. And we stop listening. We stop listening to Tea, to ourselves. We start THINKING ABOUT TEA. Rather than EXPERIENCING TEA. And when this happens we create HUGE DISTANCE between ourselves and Tea. Between ourselves and Nature. Between ourselves and our innate wisdom and knowing. And so I wanted to create more spaciousness around the course. So we can go slowly. So we can start TRULY LISTENING. Feeling. Sensing. Because this is the only way to learn about Tea and about different teas. To listen to your body, to what is happening inside. This is the only way to learn how to HEAR the wisdom of each and every plant. To hear the wisdom of Nature. To start connecting to your own wisdom, to your own Essence. All the problems with our Health, both psychological and physical, all the problems in our world are all here because we FORGOT HOW TO LISTEN! We FORGOT HOW TO FEEL. So the Yin part is about that.
