We’re thrilled to share with everyone that Our Deputy Director of Prevention, Lexine Stapinski, has been promoted to Professor!
Alongside being our Deputy Director of Prevention research, Professor Lexine Stapinski is Program Lead in Intervention and Implementation at the Matilda Centre and leads several major projects.
These projects apply different solutions and support to promote mental health and prevent substance use harms, including:
➡ Inroads, an early intervention for young adults with co-occurring anxiety and alcohol concerns
➡ Strong & Deadly Futures, a culturally inclusive education program to prevent harm from drug and alcohol use
➡ Positive Choices, a national drug and alcohol prevention initiative for school communities
Professor Lexine Stapinski will continue her work at the Matilda Centre across 2026.
