First glimpse of @brooksbrothers AW22: there’s a great line in The Preppy Handbook that talks about how no matter one’s age, preppy clothes don’t change all that much— a ten yr old and a 90 yr old can basically wear the same type of things. I bring this up because when I’m designing any fall collection I always think of ‘back to school’. Not literally of course but just that vibe of turning the page, a seasonal shift— a clean start. For me this always meant a new navy crew neck, fresh pair of 5-pkt cords, couple new buttondowns— a restocking of the basics. And here I am continuing to wear (and design) the exact same things that just always work years later.
