Today’s test report: 400 miles covered since yesterday, mostly in typically British rain, but being typically German the wipers work and the hood doesn’t leak 🇩🇪 It’s been ages since I had a long drive in a 300SL Roadster and I’d forgotten how civilized they are: this one is 60 years old next January but feels like it could be six years old despite having driven to the moon and half way back in that time. Respect for the family who kept it 59 1/2 years through a changing world and treated it like a pair of very fast old slippers! So, how do you like the colour? PS- Cool geek detail: it took me a few minutes to remember where the indicators are. You actually turn that chromed ring on the steering wheel.
