I was always apprehensive about visiting ptown. From all of the stories and photos, I could tell it wasn’t a space for me. I was heartbroken to confirm this (shoutout to the old white man asking if my bandana was for “yellow pride” at tea dance)...it’s nothing new. I’ve always had to carve a space for myself and create a positive experience, and this was no exception. So I trekked down to boy beach, blasted my favorite anime tracks, and felt the serenity of nature take over me. I think other people could see that peace I found and I quickly made new friends. Ptown can be a magical place...though it may take some work to find that magic. 📸: @wildwestoftheeast
