We are looking for someone to develop this work: I am not sure what that job title is 🙂 We need someone (a designer with a taste for magic?) to experiment & design long-lasting, ambiguous, contracting, mysterious and magical membranes. This person will be working with our mechanical engineer, so no engineering experience needed. I need someone who has worked with pleated materials/ flexible fabrics/membranes? or inflating materials or breathing forms... this person will need to test and prototype forms in movement and also need to find the right material that will be long-lasting for a permanent installation with minimum maintenance. The work is called « the Dead, the Dancers, and the Air (a shoal of fish performing a breathing ritual in an attempt to bring their dead back to life). This is a short, project-specific mission.
