Analyze this: What is the true cost of consumption?
When being an active fashion consumer, it’s important to understand our impact on the planet and our wallets. So, we made this cost-benefit analysis chart to help ourselves better understand how to be a conscious consumer.
Why does this matter?
Everyone has different priorities when it comes to shopping; however, we think we can all agree that we value the ethics of our shopping habits the most. This means staying on the right side of the chart when being a consumer. By staying here, we lean into slow fashion habits that really up our ROI and don’t hurt the planet. Now that’s what we call sustainable.
What can we do?
Let’s get specific. Here are our favorite ways to be a conscious consumer:
- Shop secondhand and donate
- Shop sustainable brands
- Reduce single-use items or rent when necessary
- Become on outfit repeater
- Avoid fast fashion giants
So now when everyone says that their closet is cute, you can say yours is a B Corp.
