Spent an absolutely insane 12 hours at the @metopera photographing the last day of their season for the @nytimes. There were so many things that I was absolutely bowled over by in this building: there’s 30 feet of space below the stage that stores set pieces and drops, teams of people have to move HUGE set pieces to line up with the tiniiiiiest pieces of tape on the floor so that the another HUGE piece can line up with it properly, none of the sound is amplified *at all* and the list just goes on. This was such a special experience, thank you to @jmwender for the call - appreciate you so much. Big big big thanks to everyone who helped facilitate this. @hayleylohn was the best assistant, grateful for your eagle eyes making sure that my light was always following my lens. What an insane first assignment to work on together, more to come for sure :) Lee from the press team is an incredibleeeee wealth of knowledge, thank you for thinking of all the best photographic moments that we could build this story with, working with you felt like clockwork. Peter took such great care of Hayley and I as we ran about on the stage while the sets were being built, thanks for being such a reliable set of eyes.
