🎉 Two short months ago, @vspink selected us as winning recipients of their Pink With Purpose grant: A $25,000 award (paired with a ton of other incentives) to jumpstart an idea that shortly initiated the lifeline of a non-profit — @halfpast.moon. 🌚 At Half Past Moon, we’re working to build nocturnal experiences that awaken inner childs and create sensory playgrounds (right here in #NYC). More times than none, creative BIPOC lack the resources, safe spaces, and communities to discover new parts of themselves and hone in on a specific craft: We are lured into social activities that convince us to spend more than what we have, dress to impress the crowd, and partake in activities we could care less about. Because of this, Half Past Moon will exist as a late-night, physical hub where creatives and the mystically inclined can spend their evenings communing 🤝, creating 🎨, and conjuring 🔮. We’d like to thank the team at @vspink for believing in us and our big idea, @elysefox and @teyaknap for wisdom and guidance, and @better.jade for joining us on this venture.
