Rosemary and her Dahlia imperialis - planted in the garden over 10 years ago and about to flower. This wild, species dahlia is normally grown for its foliage and can reach up to 4 metres tall. We traditionally cut ours back to the near the ground every autumn and leave in the border, covering with a thick layer of mulch to protect from frost. Hopefully we will get to share with you it’s beautiful pink flowers in a few days.
