The second live show of our summer concert series, this Saturday, July 16th at 7pm, will feature Afro-Caribbean improvisational DJ and Jazz musician, Aquiles Navarro. A talented trumpeter and composer, Navarro represents a rich legacy of Panamanian musical culture and liberation-oriented free Jazz. His work is a coalescence of his range of influences into a unified sonic vocabulary that can be incorporated across genre and medium. The sound of his trumpet takes audiences through an ancestral story, and in live performance, his talent can fill a room with good energy and movement. This is not a performer you’d want to miss.
