“No further indications of Cancer”. 2 months ago I spoke at an event and told the crowd that we should never take our health for granted, not knowing what was about to transpire in my own health. Few know about this but I’ve been fighting a battle for the last few weeks. Of all places, in my leg which for me as an athlete was really hard to process. I pointed out a mole on my right leg at a routine annual check up, and the dermatologist assured me it was nothing to worry about. I insisted on removing it. A day or two later the surgeon called me confirming it was a stage 2 malignant melanoma. My uncle died at age 44 a few months after being diagnosed with the same. He left his too late. If I’d taken the doctors advice to leave it, I would have been dead within months had it gotten into my blood stream. I had more surgery this week during which they removed 10 cm long x 1.5cm deep. Grateful to be able to share that results came back all clear.
